The problem is that when I push the state I have a state-change listener which is triggered and uses the state URL to call yiigridview.update itself (as the state could be changed as well by clicking back-forward buttons on the browser for example), while for clicks that do sorting, filtering, etc actually just have to log the url as new state. So it would be very useful if I could use the before Ajax Update callback to stop yii from calling the $.ajax(options).

In my personal case I'm using to make the ajax calls on the grid view to push the state to the browser so that it can keep history, bookmarks, etc when using the grid-view (I've created filebrowser based on the gridview).
However, if the input field is not empty, do the following: 0 then hint="" for i=1 to 30 if q=ucase(mid(a(i),1,len(q))) then if hint="" then hint=a(i) else hint=hint & " , " & a(i) end if end if next end if 'Output "no suggestion" if no hint were found 'or output the correct values if hint="" then response.write("no suggestion") else response.write(hint) end if % Source code explanation: If no customer is selected (str.length==0), the function clears the content of the txt Hint placeholder and exits the function.
If a customer is selected, the show Customer() function executes the following: The page on the server called by the Java Script above is an ASP file called "getcustomer.asp".
The following example will demonstrate how a web page can communicate with a web server while a user type characters in an input field: Code explanation: First, check if the input field is empty (str.length == 0).
If it is, clear the content of the txt Hint placeholder and exit the function.
AJAX is a technique for creating fast and dynamic web pages.
AJAX allows web pages to be updated asynchronously by exchanging small amounts of data with the server behind the scenes.
Any data that is updated using AJAX can be stored using the JSON format on web server.
After of model update (successfull or not) throught CGrid View (check the below link) you probably need to updates the specific row html in cgridview (not entire cgridview) Reasons to do that: 1) You want to reserve the pagination 2) You have comblex html in row that needs updated directly from php 3) improve time request (retrieve the specific html code and not entire cgridview) 4) other reasons, depended of your needs So, how to do that?
