Based on his social media, Trace has recently moved from Los Angeles to Nashville (with his two outrageously adorable dogs), but the pair maintains a long-distance relationship. You can buy the clothes, which are often modeled by Trace, Miley and Song, online and he has even collaborated with his sister on specific clothing lines.
I told myself after I wrote this song it would be my last song about Brenda and I’ve kept my word. Since breaking up, Brenda has reportedly started dating Macaulay Culkin.
Along with the Instagram post, there was, of course, the lyric video that Trace talked about posted to You Tube.
In it he sings, "Brenda, I should have never left the west coast / I lost you on the metro / smoke and mirrors got me losing my mind."Fans have had mixed reactions to the track, with some enjoying his return to music (never forget he was in the band Metro Station).
One person wrote, "Not gonna lie, I like Trace Cyrus’ song Brenda haha." Meanwhile, others were surprised to find out that they had an on-and-off relationship that spanned over seven years.
Trace went on to give everyone a bit of the backstory about the song in the post's caption."This is not the video I intended to release today," he explained.
"I wrote this song last year in Nashville after Brenda & I broke up.
Trace was engaged to Song in 2011, but the couple broke it off in 2012, days after Miley announced she was engaged to Liam Hemsworth.
Oddly enough, Miley seems to be following in her brother's exact footsteps when it comes to relationships since Song and Trace got back together, "announcing" it through photos on their Instagram accounts in 2015 — just like Miley and Hemsworth would end up breaking off their engagement, only to begin dating again years later in 2016. I can't help but root for the Cyrus kids and their significant others and Trace opens up about Song a lot on his Instagram account, noting how the couple has had their "ups and downs" throughout their six years together. They'll probably never move back."Beyond his personal life and band, Trace also owns the clothing company Southern Made Hollywood Paid (SMHP).
Her and I have both moved on and I’m extremely happy for her.
