John Martin Hill, 35, of Gwinnett County, who lives with a woman and a child, spoke to the victim for less than a week before receiving money from her. He told her, reports the Daily Mail, that he was a millionaire and wanted to purchase a home with her. Michele Pihera told reporters, "During their short romance, he convinced her that they were in love and wanted to buy a house together.
They went house-hunting and selected a home they were interested in." The two had met in person, with the woman telling police they initially contacted each other March 27 on the website and met later that day in person.
During their week of contact, the woman gave Hill over $80,000 and she expected that it would go towards the purchase of the home they spoke about sharing together.
Yet, Pihera said, "Following the exchange of money, the suspect ceased all contact."And this is allegedly not the first time of Hill has committed this act.
