He played college football for Idaho State University and was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fourth round of the 2004 NFL Draft. A five-time Pro Bowl and four-time All-Pro selection, Allen has tallied 128.5 quarterback sacks during his career. To quote Jared Allen, "The things men do for love." The Vikings defensive end posted a picture on Facebook, where his signature mullet seemed to have disappeared. As it turns out, the Kushner family consists of Jared, his parents, two sisters, and one brother — and his brother’s views might surprise you.
Despite keeping a pretty low profile, Joshua has been an unapologetic defender of the Affordable Care Act, otherwise known as Obamacare.
He even co-wrote an op-ed defending Obamacare, writing, “The administration’s cuts to outreach and sporadic lip service to repealing the ACA do nothing to stanch growing confusion among shoppers.” Joshua currently runs a $1.5 billion company he founded, Thrive Capital, a venture capital investment firm that focuses on media and internet investments.
And many of his business connections and employees weren’t thrilled about Trump’s election, often wondering about Joshua’s own views and how they would impact the company.
Joshua’s statement was reassuring: “It is no secret that liberal values have guided my life and that I have supported political leaders that share similar values,” he said.
In 2005, their father, Charles Kushner, was convicted of tax evasion, witness tampering, and illegal campaign contributions.
He took a plea agreement and was sentenced to two years in federal prison, and Jared and Joshua both stayed close with him while he was incarcerated. In this family, it appears that blood trumps political differences.
You might expect there to be a lot of disdain between the Kushner brothers, or at the very least, a major sibling rivalry.
But both Kushners insist that’s not true — in fact, Joshua has referred to Jared as his best friend in the past.
While we know quite a bit about the Trump family tree, we don’t often hear as much from the Kushners, the family that Ivanka Trump married into.
