Janice Litman Goralnik, née Hosenstein is a recurring character on Friends. Janice is also considered to be humorous recurring characters in the entire series.
She was Chandler Bing's long-time on-again, off-again girlfriend. She first appeared as the Latta Girl and later became known in The one with the Monkey Though she is Chandler's girlfriend since the start of the series, Janice isn't seen until the fifth episode, when Chandler asks Phoebe to help him break up with her.
From the first moment I looked into your eyes, I knew you were the one. Sometimes I wish you were here with me, instead of in Yemen. Chandler was her one true love, the other half of her heart."I love you, Chandler Bing," said Janice, while writing the address on the envelope.
It's like you call out to me, when ever I need you the most. Janice read the letter twice, before she folded it in half, and put it in an envelope.
She tries to comfort him by telling him that he and Monica are meant to have children.
Ironically, by the end of the episode, Chandler and Monica learn that they are both incapable of natural conception, constricting them to resort to other methods to have children.
She is known for her irritating, nasally voice and her trademark cry of "OH... Later that season, Chandler invites her to a New Year's party in a desperate attempt to have someone to kiss, but can't stand being around her and breaks up with her again before midnight, leaving him so cranky that Joey ends up kissing him.
Later in the first season, Chandler and Janice hook up again after Joey unknowingly sets Chandler up with her on a double-date.
A/N: I wrote this, while having a Friends marathon, watching all of them in order. With her long acrylic nails, tapping against the wooden desk, Janice wondered how she could tell Chandler about what she had done.
It got me thinking on how Janice had a fake address to write to Chandler, and that she might have tried to tell him about her dating Ross breifly. Her time with Ross was nice, but nothing could compare to Chandler Bing. Just when she got over him, he was there to pick her up again.
She absentmindedly doodled on the corner of the page, while she tried to find the words to explain what had happened with Ross.
Janice exchanged the piece of paper with a new one.
On hearing Janice's nasal squeaks, Monica realizes Chandler has been misleading her, allowing her to feel guilty about forgetting when he did the same.
